Kotaku.com published the following article about the Ebay auctions being removed:

eBay Pulls Plug on Ultima Charity Auctions

eBay Nazis, always opposed to anything that seems even slightly good-willed, have pulled the plug on the Ultima Online charity auctions. Crazy Joe Harden set up dozens of auctionson eBay to sell off donated UO gold. The proceeds were then donated to the RedCross for tsunami disaster relief. But eBay got wind of the charity and decided it was against their policies. Never mind that a day doesn’t go by with someone running a charity auction on their site. Here’s eBay’s official word:

What we don’t allow is for a regular individual to hold auctions in the name of charities. There’s no guarantee then that the individual is going to send them [the proceeds].

Harden took the set-back well, and is busy relisting all of his auctions without references to it be a charity. Make sure you check out his site to see how to donate gold or bid for charity.
